 Steven M. Velez, 45 310 Cottage Street Apt. 515 Rome, NY died unexpectedly on January 22, 2010 at his residence.
Steven was born on October 18, 1964 in the Bronx, NY the son of Philip and Carmen Coriano Velez. He had lived in Rome for the last four years.
He attended the Light and Life Free Methodist Church in Rome.
Surviving is his mother Carmen of Bonita Springs, Fl, his brother Anthony Velez of Puerto Rico and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial Services will be held 5PM Tuesday February 2, 2010 at the Light and Life Free Methodist Church 317 West Embargo Street Rome with Pastor Steven Mitchell officiating. A fellowship meal will immediately follow for anyone wishing to stay. There will also be a memorial service at the convenience of the family in Florida. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc. 342 Main St. Oneida, NY 13421. |

Steven will always be in our hearts and memories. I'll always remember when we were kids in NY and Steven and Tony would come over to the pool and swim. All the cousins would be there. That memory will be with me always and I'm reminded daily of those days as I have a picture of all the cousins sitting along the pool edge on my table at home. We do look like a bunch of misfits.
