 Seenithamby Arulanantham, 88 108 Ryans Way Oneida Laying beside his beloved wife, Seenithamby Arulanantham passed away peacefully on January 3, 2010, in Oneida, NY , USA . Son of Sokalingam & Thangamma Seenithamby, Arul was a loving husband to Naguleswari (Celine) and a devout father to Russell Arulanantham, Tony (Roncalli) Arulanantham, Dr Rathika Martyn and Savithiri Thayalan. He was the father-in-law of Nirmala, Bhinooshini, Loga and Thayalan. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren.
Born in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka, Arul was an Old Boy of St. Michael’s College and held two All Island records in track and field. Arul had a great love for sports, an active church and social life, and in interest in current events. Arul served as a member of the Justice of Peace and worked for the Ceylon Railways in Colombo until he retired.
Arul graced many with his knowledge, compassion and love. He will be missed dearly.
Funeral Services will be held 11:30 AM Saturday January 9, 2010 from the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc. and 12:00 Noon in St. Patrick’s Church 347 Main St. Oneida where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Richard J. Kapral. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Oneida. Viewing will be on Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the funeral home 342 Main Street Oneida. The Family of Seenithamby Arulanantham invites attendees to a lunch immediately following the funeral service at the home of Dr. Rathika and Loga Martyn: 108 Ryans Way, Oneida, NY 13421
