    • I was extremely satisfied with the amount of effort Bruce put into my father's funeral. Everything was absolutely perfect !! Bruce provided a special and unique casket for dad that was made especially for firefighters !!! My father would have loved it !!! It even had firefighter emblems that we were allowed to take home in memory of Dad's more than 60 years in firefighting. I can not imagine anyone or any place doing a better job than the Ironside Funeral Home. Dad was 84 and had no worries about his funeral as Bruce sat down with Dad a year before and pre-planned the entire service. Bruce even allowed my father to pre-pay all of the costs. Until then my father was nervous, as we all are, about our final arrangements. After working with Bruce Dad calmed down and was able to enjoy his final year with his family. That is an amazing service to provide for someone. I miss my father every day but Bruce made my final memories of Dad flawless. I can never repay the debt that I feel for the care that my father was given by the Ironsides. To have someone you love cared for by friends who respected him just as much as I was exactly what I hoped for.

    • It's now been about 6 months since our beloved Dad passed away. Although he had been struggling for a couple of years, his passing was still a difficult time for my mother, brother, sister and I. The one man in the world who meant everything to us was now gone. But what we did not have to worry about were all of the many details and arrangements regarding my Dad's funeral, calling hours, flowers, casket, military honors, burial, etc. Bruce Ironside and his family took care of all of those many details, and by doing so also took care of our family in our time of need. Until a loved one dies, you have no idea of all the arrangements required to properly say farewell to the person you loved and cherished. Bruce was there for us, whenever and wherever we needed him, and guided us through this difficult process flawlessly and patiently with care and kindness. There were no questions that he was unable to answer. Bruce was professional and understanding throughout, and his knowledge of his business was spot on. Because of Bruce's attention to all of the details and his deep understanding of the sorrow we felt, we were able to celebrate my Dad's life rather than mourn his passing. We are forever grateful Bruce.

    • My mother-in-law, Irene Rowe, passed away 22 years ago today. Because of the wonderful and compassionate care that Bruce gave us then, I had no reservations about using his services for my dad, Jack Peet, who passed away a couple of weeks ago. Even though my father didn't want any service or calling hours and wanted to be cremated, Bruce was there for us all the way. He was nice enough to bring my mom the paperwork to be signed and I shall cherish my father''s flag from the military. He also took the time and trouble of bringing my father's ashes to my mother's home. The Ironside family went above and beyond the normal funeral home services. They were very respectful of our wishes and their TLC was greatly appreciated. I know that they will always be there for my family. Thank you all so very much.

    • Bruce and his entire family are absolutely amazing people. My dad, Paul Jennings, and my grandmother, Madeline Vanderworken, both passed away last month 6 days apart and Ironside handled both services for my family. They did an amazing job. Bruce was so helpful and professional with the arrangements which was extremely helpful. During such an almost impossible situation Bruce and his family were absolutely wonderful!

    • Our family lost our mom on December 5, 2014, and then my brother-in-law on February 27, 2015. We were so thankful that Mr. Ironside was there for us (every step of the day). Unfortunately, our funeral director in Harrisville was away for both funerals, but there was no worries as Mr. Ironside drove many miles to cover both funerals, quickly won our trust and put our minds at ease that our loved ones were in good hands. Mr. Ironside is a professional - taking care of the smallest details to make sure that everything was perfect. Thank you, Mr. Ironside, for being there for us. Forever grateful!

    • My mother-in-law recently passed away. Being from out of town, and having never been involved with funeral arrangements, I didn’t know how we were going to get it done. Bruce and his family were amazing: calm, reassuring, and organized. They made everything easy and made the funeral arrangements a non-stressful part of the week. Bruce, you guys are the best.

    • Bruce Ironside and his team provided superb funeral services for our father (Albert Patricia) who passed away a couple of years ago and most recently our mother (Janet Patricia) who passed away on June 30th. The Ironside team was there for us every step of the way going above and beyond to help our family with the many arrangements that needed to be done. We all live out of town and it was comforting to know that Bruce was willing to do so much for us and was attentive to every detail. Not only is Bruce a wonderful funeral director, he is also a very compassionate and caring person and a good friend to the Patricia Family. Thank you Bruce and Team for all that you do to make this difficult process easy on our families. God Bless you all.
